98 of 132. That is a count of creators, not a percentage of trips โ worth saying plainly, because the number is often repeated as “98% of visitors”, which is not what we measured and not something this corpus can support.
The palace line is the one that gives the game away. More creators name a palace visit (44) than name Busan (37). The modal Korea itinerary is Seoul plus one morning of heritage, which is a city break wearing a country’s name.
Which one earns the extra fare
The video asks and the blog answers: Busan, for most trips of a week or less.
It is not close, and the reason is friction rather than merit:
- Busan is a train. The KTX runs city-centre to city-centre in roughly two and a half hours. You leave after breakfast and you are eating lunch at a fish market. There is no transfer, no hold luggage, no rental counter.
- Jeju is a flight and a rental. A domestic flight plus a car, because the island’s interior does not reward public transport. That is two logistics problems bolted to a short trip, and it is why only 24 creators in this pull name five or more days โ below that, Jeju eats the days it needs to justify itself.
The creator split agrees: 37 name Busan against 26 for Jeju, and the gap widens on shorter plans. Jeju earns the fare on ten days or more, or on a second visit when Busan is already done.
What we are not claiming
A temple stay has zero creator support in this pull, and hanbok rental has eight. Both sit under our fifteen-title floor, so neither appears as a finding here. Their absence from this corpus is not evidence they are not worth doing โ it is evidence this corpus cannot speak to them.
